A fabulous commission from Ashok at Eggelicious in Swindon.

Back in August 2022 I received a call from my friend Ash from Eggelicious, the premium take-away business in Old Town Swindon. He surprised me with an invite to an amazing BBQ in his truly amazing back garden. It was like entering a tropical paradise. Huge palm trees and lovely little hide-aways with beautiful exotic plants and sculptures. He wanted me to paint a rendition in oils capturing the amazing atmosphere in all its glory. It took two months to complete. His reaction was just typical of my friends 'glee.' No not Ghee hehe. He jumped on the spot and quickly handed over the cash.

I completed the piece by fourteen photos and many sketches I made on that day in August. It shows Ash cooking on the BBQ, and his wife Sheila quietly reading in the background.

I really enjoy tackling commissions. In charcoal, pencil or oil paint. Anything is possible.
